Big Ed's Grill - Waukegan

This is one of the best BBQ spots I've ever tried (I'm from the South). The brisket here is incredibly tender; it's so good that it doesn't even need any sauce. Everything is fantastic, including the cornbread!

I always seem to forget to take pictures when I eat here. You can find some of the best mac and cheese right in your own kitchen. They also serve some of the finest BBQ in the area. If you’re in town, definitely give this place a try. Make sure to sample everything on the menu. You won’t regret it!

We had a tough time deciding on a restaurant, but I'm really glad we chose this one. I was pleasantly surprised to find some excellent local beers on the menu. The catfish and rib tips were both delicious. The service was also outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend!

I saw a show she called the best BBQ in Chicago so I had to try it out. The food is worth the ride to Waukegan. Had the burning dinner with Mac and cheese with beans. The woman had the coffin cream with greens and beans. Everything was delicious and will definitely make a few return journeys.

I stumbled upon Big Ed’s bbq years ago when I was in the area for Six Flags. I haven’t been back until today. It is still so good! Got the full rack and the brisket with mash potatoes, mac cheese, Tony mac and beans
