We were looking for Pub Grub and found this place after. do some search online. The people there were super cool for us when we set ourselves and we felt like at home. I have a beer from a local brewery on Hahn, I wish I could remember what it was, but it was good, my wife got some wine, which was good for her. We ordered the cheese curds app, they were delicious. I ordered the Italian beef sandwich w/provolone Pommes, my wife ordered a Greek salad. My wife enjoyed her salad and took at least half back to the room. I never had an Italian beef sandwich, but I knew what they were. It was a really good sandwich. Her Giardiniera was on the side, but had exactly the right amount of spices that it went great on the sandwich. I'd definitely eat that again. We were for their trivia and won a round and got a free breakfast. On Saturday our son is basically delivered in the middle of the night and our trip was in the afternoon, so we went back and had breakfast. When we arrived, the staff remembered us and made us feel like regular. I have a **** Mary who came with a little beer hater, my wife got a mimose. we enjoyed both drinks. My wife has the French toast. They were both very good. The staff and the people there were really super cool for us and we felt at a place where we were going. If we ever.back in the area we will return.
This place is always one of my favorite spots in Waukegan. It has a good positive vibe to him. Good drinks and even better food! The service is exceptional. I highly recommend it if you are in the Waukegan area.
Food was delicious and bartender was friendly and informative! Don't let the look fool you. This is a good choice to eat!!!
As a rule, good food and standard table service would be enough to expect when it comes out. Dave at Green Town Tavern in Waukegan really went the extra mile. He gave me 50 cents to feed the parking lot (I never changed), but he also gave a straw for my drink. Since I was a stranger, he didn't want to shock me with her last straw policy. People in this area are incredibly friendly and helpful! The Sirloinburger with roasted egg and Swiss was delicious and perfectly prepared.
5+3 Well, what can you say? This is a nifty little pub and eatery! 5+1 in my book. The young lady who served us, I believe her name was Joy, was amazing. She discussed the entire menu. Her conversational skills are extraordinary! She's a real class act that blends in well with customers and the establishment. Remember to leave her a nice tip! The fish fry, the cod especially, and the cream of shrimp soup was delicious. My monster burger was very tasty and done exactly as I requested. My granddaughters Italian beef was perfectly done with just the right amount of juice. My Coors light was very cold, just the way I like it. The decorum which was very inviting, dimly-lit, along with good music. The games were on the televisions, the conversations and interactions on a Friday night were in full bloom. I would recommend Green Town Tavern as a spot to eat, have a cocktail, and good conversation with friends. What are you waiting for? After all aren't shamrocks supposed to bring you good fortune?
