Sazon Cocina Mexicana - Waukegan

A little disappointed that they don't have tables, but yet they have great food! I love that they offer free samples. I had the Obispo w/ Rice and Beans, Tamale and Atole. Come back!

Although the place is small and its hours are short, this place is a jewel in Waukegan. I love the decor and the cozy feeling of this restaurant. I feel like home when I get to the restaurant. Everyone is very nice and friendly and welcoming. I could only visit during my lunch on Thursday or Friday, but it was never too busy that I couldn't get a seat. You also have some tables outside. The food is so delicious. Every court I tried was very good. I think my favorites are the Enchiladas Suizas. Their desserts are also amazing. Great place for real Mexican cuisine. You also have some really sweet Mexican ceramic for sale. Enjoy!

Small family-run restaurant in Waukegan serving fresh Mexican dishes. We're gonna be regular now that we found it! Everything was hot and fresh, cooked to order. Even the red sauce at the table was fresh! Small menu means they make everything perfect. I had what I wanted with leftovers for later. Super-friendly staff, very clean and bright. Great for a family dinner.

It was so delicious! Too bad we can only enjoy it at weekends, but like all good things it is worth waiting! Your Enchiladas are amazing! Great taste, and only the right amount of heat!

Very good place to eat! The Barbacoa is amazing!! The taste of it is so good that it just melts in your mouth. The fact that they make everything from scratch and have an open kitchen is great to me. It makes it feel less of a traditional restaurant and more of a home cooked meal that is awesome. Will for sure be back!! Thank you
