Roots Coffeebar Cafe - Waukesha

Although it's been a while since we've had a meal here—mainly because we tend to grab breakfast elsewhere—I fondly remember the sandwiches, soups, and desserts being well worth it. We haven't explored the alcoholic offerings, but they do have a selection of adult beverages on the menu. In terms of seating, Roots offers a back room and a charming little courtyard for those who prefer to sit outside. There's also seating by the front window, which is great for people-watching. We often come here to enjoy a coffee or two, get some work done, or play games, and we’ve always felt comfortable and never as if we were overstaying our welcome. I do want to mention that there was a time when the hours became quite unpredictable, likely due to staffing issues common in a college area where employees may come and go. This made it challenging for us to visit. Thankfully, that seems to have been resolved, and we’re pleased to be back here regularly.

I absolutely love Roots! The outdoor patio is wonderful during the summer, and the hummus is incredible...so much so that I had to invent a new word to express just how good it is.

It's a cozy and comfortable spot that serves excellent coffee, as well as tasty sandwiches, wraps, and salads.

This place has become a daily destination for me. It is a great place to focus, and if you're hungry, they have great options for snacking, or filling your belly!
