I have dined at countless Thai restaurants and while the attempt at Asian fusion was good, I was not impressed with the immeasurable amount of sugar in everything. I don't think I have ever had Pad Thai with tamarind sauce in my life, never again. The spring rolls came with the expected peanut sauce... also pure sugar. I think less sugar and more peanut flavor would be more authentic. Did I mention this place is chalked full of sugar?! Just saying. Oh and overpriced too. Hope everyone got the point. Great location though. One last thing... If you are going to tack on a 3.5% service charge to the check then you are taking away from the tip for your servers. IMO you should never pass on an expense to the patron. Service charges in your dining check is a total racket and sham. It's predatory too. Some restaurants give the option to have the service charge removed if you don't agree to their ethics and inform you of your freedom of choice.
First time visit and a great surprise. My wife and I had two different noodle dishes and grilled spring rolls all excellent. Appreciate the fact that you can select the heat (spice) level from zero to 4. I had my meal set to 3 and my wife had her dish at 2. So nice to customize the spice level. Very nice wait staff, just enough attention without feeling ignored or pestered. They could use some sound absorption it was pretty noisy and a little hard to talk at times. We stopped in on a Monday at 6 pm and were very glad we had called ahead for a reservation. We will be back often!
Been to Lemongrass 20 times. Recently been much more hit and miss. Today waited and waited while other tables were sat, orders taken, and served before we even ordered a drink. Never even received our appetizer which we always look forward to (grilled spring rolls). Not sure if we will return for a while. Pretty disappointing as we simply received the full bill with no apology.
Waiter had not cleaned the chair. So a quick lunch ended up requiring me to be late back to work due to food left on the chair got all over my pants. When pointing it out, the waitress just gave us the bill since she probably already knew no tips was coming. Bad experience. Decent food. Cannot recommend though.
The only good food we had was the chicken satay. Everything else had bland flavoring no pop at all, and the meat was not freshly prepared. This included the spring rolls, broccoli chicken and pho. Even the desert left a lot to be desired. Very noisy inside for such a small place needs some serious acoustic treatment.
