The Poppies Tea Rooms - Waveney

I walked from Hemsby to Winterton on Sea and saw a post office with a coffee sign outside. I was amazed to find Poppy's Tearoom attached, with very welcoming staff and being dog-friendly. We ordered coffee and a fruit scone each, and it was the best scone I had in a long time - so soft and fresh. A real gem that I can definitely recommend.

I found this restaurant to be spacious and clean, a very pleasant discovery. The freshly cooked food was delicious and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our visit.

This restaurant is extremely rude and has terrible customer service. They charged us 25p for tap water, which made my companion feel embarrassed that he couldn't afford it. The staff were very abrupt. We can't comment on the food because we didn't stay long enough to try it.

Tucked just off the high street this place is worth searching out. No frills cafe but the food is of good quality, freshly cooked good value for money.

I love this little restaurant. Food cooked on arrival, not a long wait. Superb food, vast menu and not expensive.
