The hotel is situated in a stunning and quaint area of Sydney. There are beautiful gardens and community plots, along with hiking trails, picnic spots, and well-maintained historical features. The restaurant has a rustic charm and serves delicious meals and coffee.

The Coal Loader Cafe is a quaint eatery located in a fascinating historical area near the Sydney Harbour. The cafe offers sustainable vegetable options and has a laid-back atmosphere. We made a reservation for 7 people for lunch on a busy Saturday and found the food to be slightly above average. Some members of our group enjoyed the homemade hamburgers, but I was disappointed with the fish and chips, as the batter on the fish had a strange taste. However, the beer-battered chips were delicious. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We spent a wonderful day exploring the tunnels and soaking in the historical ambiance while enjoying stunning views of Sydney Harbour.

My family and I visited the café on May 8 with the intention of having coffee. While waiting to place our order, my daughter suddenly fell ill. It should be noted that we had not consumed anything from the café prior to her feeling unwell. Despite the scary situation, the café owner and their staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They provided us with detailed directions to the nearest hospital and even checked in on us to see if we needed water or anything else. I cannot thank them enough for their compassion and support during a difficult time. This café is truly exceptional and I highly recommend it to everyone. Special thanks to a concerned manager, as well as other helpful patrons who assisted us. It was heartwarming to experience such care and kindness in a time of need. Great little caffe. eating is fantastic .beautiful salads...big selection on menu. very friendly staff..big service. we love it.

The location of this cafe is its best feature as it is unique and inspiring and quite a joy to visit the area. That being said, the cafe is ideally suited to this area, in that it has plenty of external seating as well as...some internal seating. Whilst the menu is not large, there are still enough choices to satisfy most diners, today I went for the special of the day, fish and chips delicious. The coffee was very good as well as was the overall cost, very reasonable. The service was friendly and efficient even though it was busy, the staff managed the volume well. They were very Covid safe and had good procedures in place. Overall, well worth a visit if in this area and is recommended.
