We decided to order several dishes because we honestly had a hard time to get only one. My absolute favorite was the meat cake. We ordered one of them and shared it. Both were absolutely delicious. The portions are very generous, but you want to save some space for dessert. I tried the bread pudding and hubby ordered the peach cup. The bread pudding was warm, sweet and delicious!! If you are ever in Waxahachie, I would definitely recommend diving for a bite.
We really enjoyed our first visit to Catfish Plantation! The old house is super picturesque, and the ghost stories associated with the location also add a funny and awkward air. The food and service were both great! The Cajun style catfish was absolutely delicious, like the bread pudding! We will definitely be back and would recommend visiting Hachie anyway.
A jem in the middle of Waxahachie, TX! An old Victorian house to be a restaurant, you can almost miss it as it is so inconspicuous in the middle of the suburb with no big sign. The ambience is cozy. The staff is amazing. The food omg is for dying! You have to try the catfish plates and the gator bites. Great place for a date or family / gather friends
We've been at the fish planting for years. We enjoy the historic atmosphere and the delicious food. We just want to mention that Jennifer, our server, visited us exceptionally this last time. She was very friendly and helped us with our orders. She also shared some ghost stories that made it even more exciting. Our food was delicious as expected. We'll be back.
Catfish is delicious, okra is cooked really well, atmosphere is pleasant and clean. Didn't meet any of the local ghosts, but the service was excellent, and the food was good.
