Hakata Ramen Sushi - Wayne

I sat up at the sushi bar with my teenage son and we had a very nice time. It was a crowded Friday so it was a buzzing atmosphere. Pork bun app was delicious as was the fresh sushi.

Awful experience. My daughter wanted this for her birthday dinner so we were happy to make that happen for her. Ordered online for 6:40 pickup yesterday. I arrived and there was a crowd around the door and front tables. Had to chase down a staff member who didn’t seem to have any desire to help. Several minutes later I discovered that most people were waiting for the same. No room to wait we all pretty much all packed around tables that people were eating at. I couldn’t help but feel bad for a young couple that had to beg to move. Around 7:15 I asked someone what was going on. I was told they were working on it but couldn’t give me an ETA. Finally around 7:30 I got my food. I would have left and canceled payment of it wasn’t what my daughter wanted for her birthday dinner.Finally got home and got to eat. The sushi was OK at best. No better than what you can get from wegmans. Certainly not up to the price. Asking around a little we discovered that these results are common. I suggest looking elsewhere.

This area was a quick stop on a bus ride home last night. It looked cozy so I popped inside and asked the server if there’s anything I could get in 10 mins since I had a bus to catch. He was very helpful and my food was ready in less than 10 mins. I got the chicken dumplings and avocado roll and both were delicious. I will definitely be back to actually sit down next time. The entire restaurant smelled amazing.

Ramen broth and noodles were excellent. I just wish the chashu was fall apart tender.

Fooled by review. It tastes like 2 bowls with 1 soup worth of tonkotsu base and added excessive water. Soup is too thin. Not authentic Japanese ramen. I lived Japan in the past.
