I was really excited to try this restaurant but the flavors and quality just weren’t there for me. The appetizer tasted more like hot mayo (or whatever the base was) than crab dip. I did not care for the brie bread combination, although I understand that’s personal preference. The fried chicken was mostly soggy. The coleslaw had no flavor and most of the cabbage wasn’t dressed with anything, as if it wasn’t well mixed. My pot roast was a very small portion and I would’ve loved to have potatoes with my meal but it was just soupy melted into the gravy. All the dishes could’ve been much better in taste, quality and presentation. Several plates were chipped which is not something I care to see when spending money to dine out. If I make a reservation and still have to wait to be seated because the establishment is packed, it’s not welcoming to sit down to so many chipped dishes. It was so loud you could not hear your own table conversation, but that’s just the atmosphere. If you have never been here and are looking for something quieter you may want to select another option. Unfortunately, I was extremely dissatisfied with this restaurant.
We have been here a few times and we are never disappointed. Service, food drinks are always amazing. The El Presidente drink is a must try! The street corn side for the green chicken enchiladas should be an appetizer option it is amazing!!!
Was our first time here and WOW! Cannot believe it took me so long to try it! Was recommended by so many positive reviews by friends and decided to try them out on a Saturday night. We had the Spicy Fried chicken, corn bread, mashed potatoes and gravy, collard greens, black garlic chicken wings, the Pesto Shrimp and crab fettuccine and the devils chocolate cake with ice-cream. Along with a glass of wine and a glass of vanilla soda. Everything was absolutely to die for! Being from the south and living up north, this definitely was up to par with authentic good ol southern food. Everything is homemade and fresh which is very easy to tell being that everything was to die for! Our server Grady was nothing less than outstanding! He was extremely attentive and kind, he made our experience that much more amazing! Please run, don’t walk to this fantastic restaurant! You won’t regret it I promise you!
Nice place to go with friends. All of the food is local and sustainable. We started with the pickled vegetables and bacon wrapped dates....really good! The spicy chicken wasn't that spicy but it was good although the collard greens were salty. The chicken pot pie was good but a little too liquid. The food was good, not great, but the atmosphere and vibe really sell the place.
