Golden Goodies Donuts&deli - Waynesboro

While simply passing-through town, on a very long cross-county trip, my wife noticed this gem of a deli. We stopped and were greeted by a very kind and helpful owner. We ordered a box of six donuts; Raspberry filled, Apple Fritters and Fried Cakes (chocolate), as well as a nice sandwich lunch and hot coco drinks. I have not had donuts that tasted so much like old-fashioned since the 70s. They were fantastic! The sandwiches were excellent. We ate inside and were comfortable. If I were living anywhere near, I'd be driving there a few times each week, just to repeat the great experience.

Very good. There is more than just donuts there. Will be back.

The workers are kind. It's a cute little place. Donuts are yummy. They do have sandwiches that looked good but I didn't have one. I guess I was there for the goodies ?
