Mcalister's Deli - Waynesboro

A cheese melted essentially a grilled cheese - over its website for picking up scarves.1) the sandwich was cold and cheese completely unmelted. they literally put only cold cheese in the broth, no attempt to “grill” the grilled cheese. They didn’t even like it microshaft so that the cheese melted. it was raw broth with cheese slices.2) we went in after 15 minutes, maybe thought to forget to put it in the shurb. others who came and ordered, take our food well before us. it took another 15 minutes to get our cold cheese sandwich.

I have had experiences with slow service and rude staff before, but yesterday was beyond ridiculous. I don't mind waiting, but waiting 30 minutes for my order to be incorrect is unacceptable. To add insult to injury, one of the sandwiches had been sitting on the counter for 20 minutes, and by the time I received it, it was hard and cold. When I brought the issue to the attention of the server, she grabbed the bag from me, went to the back, and began mocking me as I tried to explain what was wrong with my food. When my order came back incorrect again, I was able to fix it myself with the condiments provided. When I approached the worker about this, she sighed heavily and asked, "what now?" I simply wanted to get what I paid for. The server's attitude was rude and I couldn't help but wonder how she would handle a truly angry customer.

Whenever I visit this restaurant, the service is consistently slow. Over the years, nothing has improved - the service remains slow and the food is mediocre. I do not recommend dining here.

I ordered a Southwest Chicken Salad with the dressing on the side. I made sure to confirm my order with both the waitress who took it and the cashier when paying. It's a regular menu item, so I'm not sure why there was so much confusion.

Food was fair. Seemed like staff didn't want people to eat inside as there was no music on. It was very strange to have to listen to the staff chat in a silent restaurant. I have to agree with the comments that the meat serving on the sandwiches is skimpy. Could have been worse.
