Huddle House - Waynesville

The food was delicious—fresh and served hot. Our waitress was the only one working that day, yet she managed everything exceptionally well. She was attentive, refilling our coffee without us having to ask, and ensured that our meals were served hot and fresh. She truly was a fantastic waitress. It's unfortunate that waitress pay is so low, relying heavily on tips to make ends meet. I believe wages should increase to match rising living costs, just like gas prices. While there may be more waitstaff available, ours truly stood out. I left a 35% tip because she did such an outstanding job, and we didn't have to wait for anything.

We visited this restaurant last year on Christmas Eve. There was only one server, and she was fantastic—so composed and incredibly efficient. Even when it got really busy, the two large chefs assisted with serving the food in addition to cooking, which impressed us greatly.
