The Prince of Wales is currently being restored and many locals are excited for its anticipated reopening later this year. It is being managed by the same group behind the Wheel at Burwash Weald and the Blacksmiths at Ninfield, giving us confidence that it will be a great dining experience.
Unfortunately, the Prince of Wales has closed down and is currently being occupied by squatters, which is a real disappointment. As a result, the town of Heathfield, with a population of 11,300, no longer has a pub. The closest options are The Runt in Tun and The Cross in Hand, both located about 1 mile south and west of town, as well as The Star at Old Heathfield.
Visited with a friend, had an amazing atmosphere great company both locals and staff. Lovely people will defiantly be back
This place used to be a real dive but since the new landlord and landlady have arrived, it has a lovely atmosphere. They seem to have got rid of all the trouble makers and it's Now somewhere you can have a glass of wine with friends or a coffee and milkshake with the kids. A great friendly pub with loads of potential.
