The Courtyard - Wealden

This café in the heart of Rotherfield is excellent. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. It is a very relaxing place to visit, with friendly and beautiful staff. It's definitely worth a visit. They also cater to families with board games and a children's menu.

We celebrated my husband's 75th birthday at the restaurant's courtyard with a fabulous high tea! Many thanks to Ann and her hard-working team. They were extremely accommodating and our family and friends all loved the fresh, tasty food. A wonderful experience! I highly recommend it.

Very nice, well cooked breakfast a surprisingly rare thing in this counter coffee could do for my taste with reef, but it is perfectly drinkable.

This English cafe exudes a classic charm with outstanding service and delectable cuisine. The courtyard is the perfect spot to enjoy quality time with family. As soon as we entered, a efficient and friendly waitress greeted us and guided us to our table. She took the time to explain the menu and daily specials. They were also accommodating to my mother-in-law, who has mobility issues and diabetes, and offered plenty of menu options to suit her needs. The food was served promptly and was absolutely delicious, with perfectly cooked eggs Benedict and just-right bacon. The rest of my party agreed and the silence that fell over us as we enjoyed our meals spoke volumes. The sight of the Full English breakfast and breakfast hash prompted serious food envy in me, so a return visit is definitely in the cards. The bill was surprisingly reasonable, and we all felt it was great value for money. I will definitely be back soon to try out their tempting cakes. Don't hesitate to stop by if you're in the area - you won't be disappointed.
