On the menu it says that the side is chips its their homemade potato chips) which would be super cool but it was bland too... the place is so beautiful, clean, the music is spot on. I was just hoping that the food was going to be really good. I'd felt better paying 12 bucks for that sandwhich. Meat wise for what i had , Chik Fil A meat taste is better.... The atmosphere here and the thought of everything in this restaurant screams above par..... I was expecting above average food... i was disappointed. The meat needs to be juicier, more flavors.. I know they prolly can't smoke for 10 plus hours but something needs to be done about the food quality..... the chips weren't soggy, but there was no flavor not even salt I don't think) I dipped it in ranch otherwise I wouldn't have eaten them. I appreciate the bbq sauce being put on the side......the bbq sauce was sweet tasting....it was just OK, not awe striking...from the appearance of this place I expected more..... that's why I'm giving 4 star bc the owners put a lot of money and thought into designing etc.. maybe time to rethink the menu a little and add some flare.... just my opinion we aren't local to that part of town but we prolly won't ever go back sadly. Some places we will make the trip for but ... not here..... unfortunately.... writing this review bc I want someone to make a better sandwhich than my dad. So far my dad's cooking for bbq is the best.
The atmosphere is amazing!!. Service was perfect our waitress Jess was great. The waitstaff is on point!! Waited 20 minutes for a table with the restaurant was at half occupancy. There are plenty of waitstaff. They need cooks with knowledge of cooking, and the guy moving plates from warmers to waitstaff was as slow as molasses in the winter. The appetizer, fried shrimp, and burnt ends were very good. The main course, on the other hand, was poorly done. The steak was overcooked, the baked potato was undercooked, and the shrimp and grits were horrible. The grits were so undercooked that you could not eat them. The shrimp had a decent flavor. For dessert, the death by sundae was off the chain good.
We went here at 11 AM on a Monday and we were told that there would be a 20 to 25 minute wait because they were letting their staff have a break because they just got done with a rush. I have never been anywhere let alone a restaurant where I was told that I would have to wait while the whole staff took a rest/break. Now it was cyber Monday but it was 11 in the morning so they couldn't have had that big of a rush and they had seats available to seat customers so I don't understand why their staff needed a break. When we did finally get seated the waitress was OK nothing bad to say about her but when we got our food the buns were soggy and we could only take 2 bites from our burgers and we didn't eat the rest. It was obvious that we didn't like the food and nothing was done to try to make it right. I will not be back again.
