The food wasn't hot as if it had been in the kitchen that waited forever before they brought it to us. Not recommended
Unexpected. Not the experience we expected from a Route 66. Vegatable soup, chicken bites and roasted pimples quite standard.
We had dinner here. The atmosphere was really nice. Our waitress Avery was very pleasant and attentive. We started cornuggets that we haven't had for years, they were served with a good Ranch dressing. I had steak tips with fried Okra and hush puppies that were very good. My friend has the Sirloin that was perfectly cooked.
A food beacon for hungry travellers....especially if they are a history buffalo that is matched to ROUTE 66 Lore. Warm greetings from the reception and great service from the servers....friendly, helpful and efficient. Menu is massive, but I heartily recommend the CLASSIC BREAKFAST, which would fill a few people with the generous bowl of GRITS (I am not a big fan... but..., warm cookies with Gravy (a meal in itself.... , and eggs with a selection of meat... but I ALWAYS go for the fried SPAM!!!! Good coffee to wash this feast.
I started with the red pepper and gouda soup and it was amazing. Followed with a steak, medium rare which was perfectly cooked, with mixed veggies and a huge fully loaded baked potato. Ended with a bowl of strawberries. Had unsweetened iced tea. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful, food was plentiful and tasty (had the friend onions and mushrooms with the steak). I was just passing through from Canada on my way to California and was stunned that the whole dinner was less than $30.
