Hi-lo Café - Weed

I adore their breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus! And don’t even get me started on the homemade pie rack, the made-from-scratch milkshakes, and the always freshly brewed coffee. You really can’t go wrong with any order; everything is delicious! I should know—I’ve been a regular at the Hi-Lo Cafe for nearly 50 years! To top it off, you can stay next door at the Hi-Lo Motel. While it may not be fancy, it’s clean, affordable, and very welcoming. After your meal, take a short stroll down the street to enjoy the breathtaking view of Mt. Shasta. If you’re traveling along Highway 97 in California, do yourself a favor and stop by the Hi-Lo Cafe for an amazing dining experience and exceptional service!

Great restaurant! The staff is really friendly, and the portions are enormous—you definitely won’t need dessert!

We decided to visit this restaurant based on its Google Maps rating, but we had a disappointing experience with both the service and the food. We placed our order and waited more than an hour without receiving any updates. Each time we inquired about our food, the waitress would simply tell us it would be ready in a few minutes. Eventually, when she brought out our meals, she informed one of us that her dish wasn’t available because they had run out of chicken wings. It was frustrating that she hadn’t mentioned this right after our order, especially since the other meals were served. To make matters worse, the taste of the food was subpar. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone! I regret leaving a tip. Additionally, the tables were quite greasy and dirty.

Bonnie made this experience so wonderful and memorable!!! She was the waitress, busybody, cashier, seated everyone, took calls and ensured your order was correct. She was funny through it all, great attitude. Breakfast was delicious and hot when served. This is truly a place to bring family and friends. Thank you

Highly recommended by my parents we had to try Hi-Lo on our stay in the area. The atmosphere was nostalgic but the restaurant could definitely use a bit of updating. Staff was very nice. Food was good but not exceptional. The spicy sausage patty they make that my parents absolutely love was good but a bit salty for my taste. I loved their shakes, it was very good and they give you the cylinder with your shake which is very rare now, big kudos for that!! My wife got eggs and sweet potato fries. She really enjoyed the sweet potato fries especially.
