Hotel & Gasthaus Schwanen Restaurant

It is the second time that the service has problems to get the teller and supplements to the table. the first time it took an hour!!!! the second time I got my pommes after I had finished my eating! disappointing after years of great experience

When we drove through the Rhine, we finally found this restaurant, surprised by the quality, maybe a bit expensive, but totally justified, the service was also perfect, I think on my next trip to the opposite I will try out the hotel part

The restaurant offers a good selection of traditional German dresses in a beautiful atmosphere for an evening with a raised kitchen. the food corresponds to the expectations and is of good quality, but at the side table they have forgotten a main dish and when they finally served it (as all other guests were more or less ready at this table), they have not even taken care of a lot to apologize and the meat was not prepared as ordered. I myself canceled my order for a dessert when it had not arrived after minutes. the main problem is that there is a lot of competition in the immediate vicinity of the example with otts leopoldhöhe or hotel crowns and they can't beat themselves in comparison to them. from this reason I may not recommend the place unfortunately, but if they would improve their service, they would be a great option

To get out of the Swiss currency room as long as possible, we decided to stay on the German side in a hotel that also has a restaurant. eating was full of Swiss quality and prices closer to German standard prices than to Swiss

The restaurant is very elegant, but cozy, well managed, excellent eating, this week they serve martin gans and many other typical German dishes, well prepared and served. the rooms are large and clean and very quiet
