Not easy to find a proper restaurant in the downtown of Wellington. This place is the one I go by myself or with visitors from overseas. Lunch time buffet is great! They all are freshly cooked and topped up quickly. Love their food as they are not too salty nor oily no msg.<br/ <br/ Highly recommended and you won't regret!
Walking back to our hotel spotted Jasmine and had to taste the Chinese in New Zealand.<br/ <br/ Quiet place with a different ambiance to the Chinese restaurant in India which are sometimes garishly done.<br/ <br/ Beef rice, slightly sticky rice with jasmine flavour and tender pieces of beef strips dotted with spring onions.<br/ <br/ Chicken soft Noodles. A largish plate with nice soft Noodles decked with slices of spring onions, mushrooms and well cooked chicken.<br/ <br/ Service was prompt and efficient.Geeta Mayne
The best Chinese food we have had since Choy's in Sydney, Australia. Dined on Christmas Eve as we were staying in Wellington City we weren't sure about where was good. Happened apron this place and was not disappointed. Superb food, attentive service overall pleasant experience.
Popped in here to grab a quick bite as my first choice was going to take 20 minutes to cook some chow mein, so decided to give Jasmin a try as I have never been, but always knew about the place.Located in the James Cook arcade, I was pleasantly surprised to find a handful of people dining here for dinner.I opted for my chow mein to take away as we had to be somewhere within the hour. The chow mein was much better than I had anticipated, thinking that it would be greasy and fill of cheap rubbish vegetables such as onions etc. The combination chow mein came with a good selection of BBQ Pork, Chicken, Beef and Prawns.Check out my website for an indepth review.
