Hotel & Restaurant Weisser Hirsch

We enjoyed a beautiful Christmas dinner here that is up there with the best. This restaurant enjoys a great location right on the market square in Wernigerode and is very tastefully decorated and presented. The staff was friendly and efficient and well copied with my very average German! The food was delicious and well cooked. Overall an excellent experience for our family!

The restaurant is located in the centre of Wernigerode. Plus: The outdoor seating area is great and overlooking the square in front of the picturesque town hall. The service is good, beer is good. Minus: We wanted to go for Diner here, but it seemed that they changed their menu completely. Not for us.

Excellent food. Familiar tastes in new textures and unexpected combinations. Our waiter was very professional. Would like to pay another visit to this restaurant.

Restaurant was very nice and staff friendly although they could have been more attentive as we had to ask for things and stuggled to get attention at times. My husband really enjoyed the liver dish saying it was exceedingly tasty but my lamb risotto was just ok. It was very hot in the room and we felt it was quite expensive for what you got.

We ate here twice in two days. The outside tables are a great location from which to "people-watch" on the picturesque market square. The food is very good and well presented, with meat, fish and vegetarian options. The service is friendly, efficient and makes a real effort to solve any "problems". I would definitely return.
