The Czech Stop - West

One of the best-kept secrets in Texas, right off I-35 between Hillsboro and Waco. I've been coming here since my teenage years, and it never disappoints. This place is undoubtedly one of the best pastry and roll shops you'll ever visit. If I could, I would give them 6 stars!

Overall, we found most of the dishes to be quite enjoyable. The jalapeño cheese bread, strawberry cream cheese kolache, pastrami sandwich on homemade rye bread, and the Reuben sandwich on homemade rye were particularly standout items—the rye bread was the best we've ever tasted! However, we weren't as impressed with the sausage kolache, which was overbaked and dry. The egg salad sandwich was also lacking in flavor, and the blueberry muffin felt more like cake and was far too moist.

I was advised to visit this place while traveling north through West, and I was not let down! The kolaches I had for lunch were fantastic, and we also picked up some gingerbread to take with us. I will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area!

This is the real deal if you want kolaches! Huge selection of both sweet and meaty kolaches. Staff was super helpful and friendly. The taste is unbelievable good. I make it a point to stop here every time when traveling. It does get busy but theline moves smoothly.

Every time we pass through West, we have to stop at the Little Czech Bakery to load up on our favorite treats. They have the best molasses cookies in the world! Fortunately, I got the last one. Their kolachies have perfectly baked bread and deliciousfillings. The pies, cookies, cakes, biscuits, cake balls, and everything else we have tried are absolutely delicious. The linewas long, snaking through the store, but the path was well-marked and moved quickly. Despite the notices posted of beingshort-staffed, they know how to work efficiently, and we were soon on our way with sweet rewards.
