Crab Shack - West Babylon

If you're looking for fresh fish and crabs, it doesn't get any fresher than here. Jeff and his dad are incredibly helpful and friendly, it feels like visiting family. I highly recommend checking them out, but be sure to save some for me.

Today, I visited Jeff's Crab Shack and picked up some little neck clams and Dungeness clusters. I made clams Casino and had some half shell clams - they were delicious and tasted incredibly fresh. The Dungeness clusters were steamed and also very good. If you're looking for fresh seafood straight from the ocean, or blue claw crabs from the Great South Bay, I highly recommend giving Jeff's Crab Shack a visit. They sell their seafood by the dozen, rather than by the pound like most other seafood markets.

This is the place where I always go to get fresh and delicious crabs.

Mom told me right off the bat, these clams are super fresh. She knows this because when she shucked them they were LOADED with juice. Normally after shucking 8 doz top necks she fills 2 quart sized containers. She anticipates needing a 3rd these are so fresh and juicy. ON TOP OF THAT Jeff was a real doll and personally delivered our order since I was jumping through hoops trying to get there to pick them up. What a lifesaver and what a great resource for fresh fish! THANK YOU JEFF!
