I turned up just before closing time but they were happy to stay open and do our order. We had the fish burgers, prawn cutlets and some chips. All were great and I've been back since.

West End Take Away is a fantastic fish and chip shop located a few minutes’ drive from Townsville’s City Centre. The oil used to cook the fish and chips has a clean fresh taste to it. The crumbed fish is my favourite, great big pieces; the amount of chips per scoop is also very generous. 10/10 loved it!! Great menu options. Serves what other places don't. Very novel. Slow service and small portion sizes. But delicious food. Definitely must go!

This restaurant in Townsville serves the best fish and chips. I initially thought my first experience was a fluke, but after trying it again, I was just as impressed! They frequently change their oil, resulting in non-greasy, crispy, fresh, and delicious fish and chips.

I ordered a delicious hamburger with fresh ingredients that were well-prepared. The woman who took my order was very kind and friendly.
