The Two Watermills - West Berkshire

My friend and I have now made this our regular restaurant when we meet up. The quality of the food is always excellent, and today we were served by a lovely young lady called Ruby. Ruby is always friendly, helpful and efficient and has a very infectious smile. Thank you for another great time.

Popped in for lunch, and again was not disappointed. Received a warm welcome followed by fabulous lunch. Only wish you were nearer to us as we would visit more often. Many thanks to your team!

Lunch at The Two Watermills was delicious. Two of us had the roast beef and one friend had the pork. The meat was soft and we had plenty of vegetables to accompany plus the Yorkshire pudding. We had deserts afterwards and a coffee. Service excellent and as always delightful hard working staff. For barely £25 each this meal was such good value and we were very impressed with the quality if the food and the presentation.

The case of the vanishing mixed grill came here a week ago and was informed that mixed grill had run out (had a gammon instead which was ok). Came again tonight and again told the mixed grill had run out. I queried to be told they had been busy (Friday evening 7.30pm certainly some tables empty). Scampi also run out which was disappointing as it was that or salad for my wife due to allergies. Anyway, next table (who clearly knows the chef) guess what, orders and gets a mixed grill. So I am afraid its just a question of who you know. Sorry that's amateur time and not a way to run a restaurant.

Great find !! Looking for a lunch spot we found this on the way back down the A34. In truth Google provided this as one of the results for a search of “Harvesters near me” Whilst not a Harvester we are partial to a salad cart, we were really impressed with this pub. Staff were friendly and conscious and food was served in good time and was great. The surf and turf was lovely, the steak tasted brilliant and was beautifully cooked. My other half had the make you own kebab with halloumi and pepper and again something a bit different and lovely and tasty. Overall a great place and certainly somewhere I would recommend to anyone
