The service was super slow, the staff wasn’t attentive and friendly anymore. We felt like being neglected at all. Never got asked about the food. It felt like eating at an overpriced fast food shop. And this time, the food wasn’t well presented as usual and my beef was over cooked: We couldn’t enjoy the meal at all. And my husband needed to chase for the drinks and the desserts. They offered me a tiny little piece of cake with a candle for my birthday and they refused to put happy birthday on it as my husband requested . Moreover, the staff just put down the cake and walked away, no eye contact at all. It was absolutely a go down for the place. And we will never go back again!! We spent over £200 for a lunch and wasn’t a good one at all!
We 've been here a bit and last night for a special occasion. Service seems to have really gone downhill. Our table was delayed by more than 45 minutes. The staff seemed to be rushing about but with no resolution. We ordered in the bar and were eventually seated. The food standard is still really good but we miss that really attentive service that made visits so special. We asked for dessert menus. Should we have to? They came we perused and put them down. Had to ask again to order. The pudding for two was a little meagre. It was lovely, but just not enough for two to share. My fiancé 's steak also arrived on a plate looking rather lonely and sad. We 've had that before and almost certainly there was a tomato and an onion cake. Even if they just out the chips and sauce on the plate at least it would look 'complete. '
Sadly I don't think I chose the right dish..chargrilled beef medium rare. It was way too rare for me. The staff are lovely but would I pay that much for the food I had?..no.
I like the restaurant atmosphere. Maybe coming here for a casual lunch is a better idea. The food itself is average. The way they cook dishes is standard and boring. Like a person, a good restaurant should have more of its personality.
The service at this restaurant was outstanding, set in a stunning space with a skylight overhead. The dishes we tried, including the Mille feuile with beetroot, crab raviolo, and scallop with chicken, were all exceptional. The presentation was beautiful and the portion sizes were just right. In addition, the warm sourdough served with delicious butter and olive hummus was a standout. The ingredients used were all of high quality, and the staff were all fantastic. I highly recommend this place.
