Hawthorne's Backyard - West Chicago

This restaurant is fantastic with a variety of yard games such as giant beer pong, connect 4 basketball, cornhole, and volleyball. Although I didn't order food myself, my friends thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers. They offer several gluten-free beer options and host trivia nights on Wednesdays.

The food was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. A few years ago, we visited this restaurant with my mother-in-law when she came to town. Her favorite dish is the 7-layered carrot cake, while I enjoy the ribs and sauces. The rest of the family enjoyed everything on the menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Visited with a family of four on Saturday, late afternoon. The bar was hopping and the restaurant was quiet. Our server was obviously new and learning the menu, but he was friendly and welcoming. The food was just ok. BLT Dip was fantastic (and the whole appetizer menu looked amazing). Grilled salmon was great, but brisket, cheese burger and Mac cheese weren't anything special. I would definitely return for bands, trivia or bingo, but won't rush back to the restaurant.

Seven years ago, we held our wedding at this restaurant. We enjoyed a wonderful time on the back terrace before the dance floor was set up. Our guests all praised the food and service. I didn't even need to worry about mingling with the tables as the staff took care of everything, including serving the cake. It was a truly unforgettable experience for us. The restaurant offered a wide variety of eating options and a large open bar. Our party particularly enjoyed updating their drinks, thanks to the bartender. I was grateful for the opportunity to enjoy the terrace in my lace dress. Despite the uncertainty of rain, the staff planned everything in advance. With great prices and a memorable experience, this restaurant is perfect for any event or celebration.

Great eating and fun relaxing atmosphere. we had a party here in one of the outside tents that celebrated a birthday and the staff went beyond and beyond. thank you for getting our curse balloons and keeping all drinks orders! I was not even home after hosting this party on hawthorne’s, and I had lyrics on my handy of friends and family say how fun the party was there!
