The peach mango pie was just average, and I wouldn’t recommend spending more than $3 on it. Sadly, the biggest disappointment was the fries; they were soggy and lacked flavor. I tried to salvage them in an air fryer, but even after a few minutes, they were still underwhelming. I should have chosen the mashed potatoes instead; at least I would have had more gravy to enjoy.
The restaurant features a wonderful selection of unique and tasty dishes. The chicken is served in hearty, juicy portions. The spaghetti is delightful and has a lovely hint of sweetness. The gravy is perfectly balanced, reminiscent of a mix between Church's and KFC. The fries evoke nostalgia for Jack-in-the-Box from the year 2000. For dessert, both the banana-langka and peach-mango pies were fantastic, with the peach-mango pie being the standout favorite for me.
The fried chicken was delicious, although it's unfortunate that they hadrun out of the spicy option. We ordered the family meal and thoroughly enjoyed the Adobo rice; it was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!
Hands down best fried chicken. Kinda expensive if you order the combo meals. My advice is to order everything separately. More food for more or less the same price. The salty and savory taste of the fried chicken/gravy is really well balanced out by the flavor of the sweet spaghetti.
It's been awhile since I've eaten some chicken at Jollibee, so when I was driving home from work on Saturday, I decided to get off the jam packed 10 freeway Eastbound at the Baldwin Park exit and drove my way to the W. Covina shopping center. Parking in the afternoon wasn't that bad, even if I wished to park farther than normal. Large parking lot shared by other restaurants, a grocery store, clinic, and small shops. The North side of this shopping center was like a Filipino town with foods, bakery, grocery store, a parcel-shipping store, etc..all catetoring to the Filipino community which was excellent. I ordered the original 10 piece chicken bucket and two small cartons of gravy came with it. It was delicious. No social distancing inside Jolliebee. Customers wore their masks or not. Most employees wore masks. There were people who dined inside or just ordered for takeout. I believe there was a drive thru also. I didn't wait long for my meal to arrive. Some restaurants had signs posting employee shortages and now hiring, but that didn't stop me being patient with my order. The restaurant even gave me an electronic buzzer alert device, notifying me when my order was ready. Great for people who have a hard time hearing over a microphone saying that their order number was ready. I didn't see any outdoor seating arrangements.
