We absolutely love the samosas as a special treat on our market shopping day, especially when paired with Matt's own sauces like tamarind. Most of the time, we enjoy them right away sitting on the grass at the market, but today we brought them home and enjoyed them with a salad. Matt even gave us some sauces to take away, making for a fantastic lunch! Last year, we placed a bulk order for vegetable pastries, samosas, and sauces for our son's birthday party, and it was a big hit. We also buy the pies to keep in the freezer for an easy dinner option. Thank you, Matt, we are truly addicted to your delicious treats!
We attempted to locate this restaurant twice. Unfortunately, the first time we visited, they had already sold out of hot dogs and had closed for the day. However, our second visit was a success and we were able to try their unique menu item. It's essentially a hot dog on a stick, coated in batter and served with tomato sauce. Surprisingly, there is no actual meat in the hot dog, but you would never be able to tell. It has good novelty value and is a fun twist on a classic dish.
I visited the Green Flea Market specifically to try the food from Ykillamoocow. My boyfriend and I each had a delicious Dagwood Dog and ended up going back for more. I tried a samosa and he had a No Bull pie, both of which were equally satisfying. We also purchased some frozen items to take home. Everything was vegan except for the spinach and feta pie. They also had barley and pumpkin sausage rolls available. Throughout the day, I was craving a pie and Ykillamoocow did not disappoint. The two gentlemen running the stall were very friendly, and we did not feel heavy or sick after eating multiple items. The prices were great, with nothing over $4. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The market where the stall is located has a fantastic atmosphere, with everyone being friendly and genuine. It was a great place to buy fresh, organic produce.
Matt the owner is always lovely. The pies and rolls are hearty and tasty. The Dagwood dog is the highlight but aren’t always available. Samosas are also super good.
I stopped by for a no-bull pie and Dagwood dog. Both were savory and satisfying. This is a great place to stop by while you’re at the Davies Park Market.
