Contribuisci feedbackEDIT My original review was when the restaurant was called Flora. Since becoming Birdie Lounge there are only a couple of vegan options on the menu. Oone of them is the chicken parm (wheat parma) but the waitress mentioned (after we had ordered) that it is fried in the same oil with meat. So cross contamination is real. This is no longer a vegan restaurant but rather a normal restaurant with a couple of vegan options. The restaurant is still great and the staff is still friendly as always, but I can't help but feel like they abandoned their vegan clientele. The restaurant was busier than I've ever seen it, so, mission accomplished I guess. But we will not be back. If we get a craving for chicken parm then we'll just get it from Three Girls Vegan Creamery in Guilford. It's better there anyway. ORIGINAL REVIEW My absolute favorite vegan restaurant. Everything on the menu is amazing. My wife swears by the chicken parm. And to be sure, it's great! But ya gotta try the meatloaf! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Outstanding. The half lazy chicken with the sauces was fall apart tender and delicious. The sauces were different from what one would expect, and perfect compliments to the meat. We are huge fans of chicken parmesan, this may simply be the best chicken parm we've ever had anywhere. Another tender and flavorful piece of chicken with very nicely seasoned breading, and some delicious sauce, including a little pesto like sauce to complement the red sauce and rigatoni, made this an exceptional meal. The cream of chicken soup was one of the best we've ever had reminiscent of hearty wild grain rice soup from Minnesota), flavorful, not overly creamy or salty, and perfect on a cool evening. The house salad was excellent, with crisp greens and a very nice balsamic vinaigrette. Portion size is generous, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was good. There's enough variety on the menu to keep everybody happy. And your kids will likely find something they enjoy here as well. Pricing was very good for the quality of the food, we are looking forward to many more meals here in the future.
