I've been coming here for years and I always loved it until recently. The new staff sucks, drinks are gross and over priced, the service on the roof is so slow tha its not worth the wait. the big muscle bartender is rude and made me and my friends uncomfortable, and the old fashion he made my boyfriend was tragically bad. I don't know what happened with this place but they need to make some changes. Definitely avoiding this place this summer.

Great atmosphere but god awful service. Rooftop was packed and they had one waitress, but she spent all her time talking to her friends. Food is mid.

The Elbow Room is an awesome venue, the food and drinks they have are great and reasonably priced, I'm a big fan of their wings and tacos. I go to the open mic comedy nights on Thursdays, and I throw fun comedy shows/parties in the basement around once a month on Fridays with about 50 people, and everyone always hangs out on the rooftop after now that the weather is warmer. The Elbow Room is a staple of West Hartford and almost everyone knows about it.

Went and saw a comedy show here. Giancarlo Biondino was headlining and he was one of the most gifted people I've ever seen. I would give this place 5 stars but I can't because he is not always there. On the nights he is, it is 5 stars and on the nights he isn't I rate it 4 stars because I can't even give a fair rating because when I'm there and he isn't all I do is dream about him and I don't even pay attention to anything else. I think i remember enjoying the grilled cheese and my friends tell me the service was professional and friendly, I was just having a hard time because the greatest living comedian wasn't there to tell me his award winning jokes.
