All American Bbq - West Hills

Hi all! i felt like all american bbq doesn't get the hype it really deserves. FANTASTIC FOOD AND FANTASTIC SETTING! i've come here a few times now because i was so amazed by the pulled pork sandwich when i came here the first time. i'm not a huge fan of big cuts of meat or bbq in general but this was fantastic. they have two (i think different kinds of bbq- regular spicy. both are extremelyyyyy flavorful and amazing. it's the best tasting bbq sauce i've ever had and i even tell people that. the menu is extremely vast so there's plenty of options for everybody. the cornbread i got on the side was yummy and felt like a homemade meal by your mother. there's a bunch of different sides you can get. the workers are quick, efficient, and super nice. the prices are fantastic for the caliber of food you get. this bbq is much better in my opinion than big chain restaurants such as Lucille's BBQ. i keep going back because i keep craving it. Worst cold food I ever had. They just reheated the trip tip and the ribs.?Mac&cheese reheat and the potato salad not fresh!! I got mad that I paid for overheated food . 28.99. Not worth it . I will not recommend it at all.. I just try it for the first and last time. Won’t go back again!! ?I couldn’t head back for a refund but I was late for work . So the food made it to the trash.

I’m sorry to say that my experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I received a flyer in the mail and wanted to support a small business, but the food just wasn’t good. The portions were small for the price (I’m not typically one to complain about portion sizes, but the cost felt unjustified for what we received). We ordered takeout, but I saw the dining room and was glad we didn’t eat there. There’s an office in the dining area—not a separate office, but one of the dining tables has stacks of papers, a printer, and a computer on it. It’s somewhat off to the side, yet it stands out in a strange way. Overall, I would rate the portions 1 star, the flavor 2 stars, and the dining experience 1 star. I truly regret giving this rating, but our visit left us quite disappointed.

I also tried the chicken (white meat) and thought it was great. Some reviewers mentioned it being dry, but I didn't find that to be the case during my visit, especially with the BBQ sauce on the side. I can confidently say that I would put that sauce on just about everything! My wife even enjoyed it with her fries. The chicken also had that delightful smoky flavor, just like the Tri-tip. I ordered takeout, so the plates and table settings are from my home in the pictures. Ross served me, and he was a really nice guy who offered some excellent recommendations. The service was quick, and the staff, including Ross, packed everything up nicely, ensuring the food made it home hot and intact. Inside the restaurant, I couldn’t take photos as there were people dining, but it had a charming atmosphere with decorations like old signs, license plates, and various memorabilia that really encapsulated the essence of American BBQ. They played classic rock music during my visit, and the smell of BBQ smoke in the air was incredibly inviting. I would definitely return for some delicious BBQ and can't wait to enjoy another serving of my new favorite Tri-tip smothered in BBQ sauce!

I had dinner last night at their new location on Platt and Vanowen (formerly a Chinese restaurant), and it was fantastic! I tried the Tri Tip Chicken plate, which came with two pieces of chicken, roasted potatoes, and cornbread. Everything was incredibly delicious. I had visited their Northridge location a couple of times, but I really enjoy this one even more. The smoker for the meats is right outside the front entrance, so the delightful BBQ aroma greets you as you enter and lingers as you leave. I will definitely be coming back!
