Omi Sushi - West Hollywood

Delicious and fresh for very good prices. Was busy on Tuesday night, but Tony the manager was still attentive and ensured that we were well looked after, he is great. Excellent sushi and service.

After my 4th trip to Omi, I have to downgrade from 5 stars to 4. Here's the conundrum: the sushi, which is arguably the most important element of a visit, is A+. Just fantastic. However, service...is so over-the-top slow, so much so that it jumps out at you. As I waited 25 minutes, no lie, for the drop the bill/take my card/return the bill process, I found myself wondering if the delicious sushi was worth the hassle. After ordering, the wait for the sushi is also very, very long. There is a staff shortage that really needs to be looked into. And finally, man...blasting expletive-laiden rap that you have to shout over while you eat...its just fatiguing. It just is. 4 trips in a row, the same gangsta rap. There's a time and a place for that, and I'll even say there are certain times with sushi that it's okay, but not every time man. You don't want to go on a date in this place. A shame, because again, the sushi is absolutely delicious and portions are fantastic. Good luck

Came here for the first time in a party of 7 on a Sunday night. It's conveniently located right by our friend's apartment so we just walked over. Restaurant is very clean with ample table seating and a small sushi bar area. We were greeted by the manager, Tony (I think thats his name), and his staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the AYCE sushi and a few alcoholic beverages. Tony was so attentive and helped us with our order. The AYCE isn't advertised anywhere on the regular menu, but once we asked about it, he brought out a different menu sheet for us to order from. The options for AYCE is MUCH larger than most of the other sushi restaurants I've been to! They even allow 1 round of sashimi! I was also happy to see that they have a section of rolls that do not include rice! Instead, they use cucumbers or soy paper to wrap the rolls! OMG I was in heaven!!! The rest of my party ordered mostly rice rolls, some hand rolls and other appetizers as well. We were so full! The quality of the fish here is very good and fresh! I love finding little hidden gems like this place! The manager even gave us a couple of free rounds of sake and also a discount for paying in cash! Since our friends live so close by and we visit often, I'm pretty certain we will be back again!

So disappointed, Sushi was bland and was charged for a bunch of stuff i didn 't even want. I ordered one roll and asked the chef to make one of his choosing. He said sushi or sashimi I said a sushi roll. Instead of a roll i get like $16 worth of sashimi. I tried to be nice and just try it (i have my limits and tasted off) and just couldn 't . The fact that the food was bland was bad, but then getting charged for three orders of sashimi when i asked for 1 roll is just sloppy and not a way to keep a new customer. I will be returning. Do not recommend...

Delicious! We ordered nearly half the menu, and it was surprisingly affordable. The service was quick and friendly. The entire sushi selection was fresh, and the rolls were unique and not your typical offerings. It's a fantastic spot for a date where you can create your own tasting menu.
