Horrible experience reminiscent of many decades ago and not at all an appropriate modern way to run an establishment blatant, admitted sexism at the door and all so unapologetic. We arrived after 10, when the club allegedly opens, and were told quite rudely to go have a drink at the hotel bar because they weren 't going to open until 10:30. We came back at 10:30 only to wait in a line and be told that we needed to go find some more ladies in the bar to join us because they wouldn 't let us in without a better male to female ratio (we were a group of four). Meanwhile, a bunch of nasty looking sleazy old men were allowed to skip the line and enter without so much as showing an ID. Do not go here. I 'm surprised the Edition houses such a heinous establishment they should do better.
I don't go to clubs because of the part where you are selected to get in or not, however, I went out because a friend was on the performer of the night's list. We show up and are told the club isn't open yet at about 10:20pm. There is a GA line and a VIP line. The GA line has about 20 people in it, the VIP has about 5. One door man sends us to the VIP line, so I was like great, we made it. The other door man looks at the 3 of us girls in the face and then sends us back to the GA line. My two friends decide to go into the hotel lobby for a drink to not wait in the cold and I'm just going with it, I could have waited or not but based on the other reviews, I'm glad I went in to the hotel lobby where it was warm and I was able to get a drink. By chance, my friend's friend was there, so we were able to enter the club with her. If it weren't for that, I would have rated this a 1 star experience because I really hate waiting and then being denied or hassled once at the front of a line. Not to mention being looked at and not making whatever cut that was. I would have been really annoyed. Now for the experience inside the crowd was great at the start of the night, mixed crowd of all ages, sizes, and colors, so diverse. Around 1am it was all gay black men on a Friday night, so if you are a gay black man, this is where you go! If you don't know anyone there, don't go, it's not that great inside anyway. The disco ball section is kind of underwhelming. Most of the club is just in the dark with tables and square booths.
This place has everything!!! The music is great, the crowd is great!!! Great place to party, people watch! Great overall experience!!! Man we had so much fun!!!????????????????
DO NOT GO HERE!! This should be a members only club. Apparently there isn’t general admission. We got to the front of the line—after and hour and a half of waiting—just to be told “you may only enter if you purchase a bottle service table.” The price was $3,500.00. We called the business before hand and they never mentioned this. Horrible service the African American guy in the front door was completely racist even to his own kind. He let whoever he want in and let people cut the line. Many parties, about 5 of them, left the line because of this same reason. He made it seem as if this was Bootsy Bellows. Attached are pictures of the uncultured pathetic individuals holding up the line. Theres a video where he argues with a customer about why he’s letting them cut the line.
