Crispino's Pizza - West Islip

Best Pizzeria in all of West Islip! Love the staff and always love walking into a place that's friendly and fun! I don't give reviews often, but this one is worth giving.... Magnifico!!!

A few weeks ago, I had a fantastic experience with Mario. He was incredibly kind and attentive, and I even mistook him for the owner because he seemed genuinely invested in the guests, the service they received, and the quality of the food. The food at this restaurant is consistently amazing, but in my past visits, the service hasn't always been satisfactory. I've overheard arguments and witnessed a man speaking harshly and yelling at other staff while I was dining with my children. Despite that, I kept returning for the food quality, and I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with Mario.

The restaurant charges a 3% fee every time you use a credit card at Crispino Pizza, which seems ridiculous. They should just increase the prices of their pizza menu by 5 cents instead. It feels like the owner is taking advantage of customers. If that's the case, they should just accept cash only! However, they have an agreement with Visa and MasterCard to accept credit card payments, just like customers pay a membership fee each year.

The plain pizza was quite uninteresting. The meatballs seemed like they were served in tomato soup. Where's the parsley, where's the basil, where's the flavor? I could easily make something better, and I'm not even Italian! The only thing I enjoyed was the garlic knots.
