Lion's Den - West Islip

I’d like to consider myself quite the simple minded aristocrat. But when it comes to food, I know my stuff. This establishment has all the potential in the world, but there was something missing from my experience at the Lions Den. Where is the heart? Where is the soul? The passion? That is what I’m looking for when I go out to eat at restaurants and bars. Me and my friends were out on a “guys night” but it ended up being a “wheres my food?” night 3/5.

I have been coming to this restaurant since it was called the Lion's Den. However, the last few times I have dined here, the food quality has been disappointing. There has been no change in ownership, but perhaps there has been a change in the kitchen staff. The nachos I had last night seemed to have cooled off before they were served, and my onion rings were thin and soggy.

Great food, atmosphere, bartenders and servers. The Latham Brothers were awesome. Love this place!!
