Even tho they were slammed with people we got our order pretty fast. These are honestly some of the best tacos you’ll ever have in Utah. Authentic in flavor, with 5 tacos my hunger was satiated. I have a big appetite, what can I say. Our experience was great. Facility was clean, service was fast, bathrooms were also clean. We loved our experience. We’ll be definitely coming back.
This is what a taco should taste like. Been here more times than I can count. I’ve tried every taco here and they’re number one in my taste buds book. And salsa is fire!!
Tacos Lopez is located next to a small Hispanic market in West Jordan. They have a very small menu, mostly with cuts most people typically do not go for such as cow head, tongue and intestine. We got the quesadilla de maiz with el pastor and asada and they were delicious. Perfectly seasoned, grilled to perfection and super fresh. The staff does not speak really any English and that was challenging as I was unable to ask any questions on the menu. It was also very disorganized. I went during the 5:30 dinner rush and it was so hectic and confusing. The food was great and I'd say worth the wait, but I wish the menu had some English and more description of what to expect within each item.
Knew I hit a great spot when it was packed with gringos and Mexican families in line out the door. The entire setup is like a work of art. I got five different tacos. Truthfully I don’t even know what I ordered for the most part. Just went straight down the menu. I left with some serious spice in my taste buds. The 5 tacos w a DC n tip cost me $20. Basic community eating setup inside w/ plastic fold tables outside. Would definitely go back.
As a Hispanic with Familia in Mexico who have taken me to some of the best Tacos Pastor over there, this is the closest I've been able to find, and that's what I tell everyone. EASY 5/5.Tacos Lopez, and it's not even close, has the best Pastor in Utah. The tortillas are all scratch made, the Pastor is fresh cut off the Trompo (the rotating spit), the drinks are fresh and top-notch (I always get an Horchata), and the salsas are amazing. The flavor of the Pastor is incredible. Marinated, slow raosted, and authentic. This local place is easily in my top 5 of everything in Salt Lake. The number 1 best thing of everything to order, is the Quesadilla de Pastor. It is seriouslly LOADED with meat, super fresh cheese grilled right with the fresh tortilla, and it is $5. People, Taco Bell has Quesadillas more expensive than this. It's unfair how good these are.Local Hispanics are always here, it's always busy, and I shouldn't tell them this, but I would easily pay double for what you're getting. I'd wait in any line for this. Be ready for an authentic experience, not a lot of English is spoken, and feel free to order online too. You will not regret going here.Update: It's getting busier everyday. Be ready for a little wait in line, it's a little hectic in there, but super happy for them. Still worth the wait!Gracias por todo lo que hacen alli. Bien hecho amigos.
