Decent atmosphere for the game, with football colours clearly allowed in the pub as I seen Rangers, Celtic and Hearts strips. I am sure they normally let kids in for food, but weren't during the game. Staff were very friendly and working really hard to get customers served quickly. Drinks were reasonably priced and there were plenty of tvs throughout. A few dartboards at the back look as if they get used quite a lot, which is unusual these days I would say, but I do like a game of darts. Apart from a poor game, we had a decent visit. I was told at the local bookmakers that it was likely to kick off later on that night as it usually happens, but can't comment as I seen nothing negative throughout my visit.
Not recommended to Visitors some of the clientele can be a little rfough ! (not all of them) but it cedrtainly isn't a place for visitors more a local for locals
I was shopping in Livingston with the other half and we noticed this pub towards the rear of the shopping centre. We were hungry and decided to check it out. As soon as we walked in there was an overpowering smell of stale alcohol, we bravely decided to sit down and look at the menu. After 30 seconds of sitting down we started to take note of what seemed to be a group of local drinkers (bearing in mind, this was a Wednesday lunchtime!!! making an absolute disgrace of themselves! The place was also run down and tatty. At this point we got up and made a sharp exit! I think this place must be for the local Jakey population!
Not much to say about this place really. Dregs of Livingston drink here and the food is uninspiring pub grub. Been like this for years. No matter how many times you give it a refurbishment, you can't polish a turd !
Had pub lunch here recently. The pub is rather old-fashioned but not in a good way.Seems very dull and drab interior wise.Is located at wrong end of a shopping centre next to a pawn shop and bookies. I had fish and chips, mate had curry. Both were cheap and not bad but absolutely nothing to rave about.. Gents loo had door wedged open and all sorts of noises coming from therein seemed to greatly amuse regulars standing at the bar in what seemed unusual entertainment. Bar staff were pleasant and accomodating. Seems like a local pub in weird location and very average food wise.
