On the 4th of July, I purchased a rack of beef ribs, potato salad and 1/2 chicken. This is the first time I was NOT pleased. The potatoe salad was wayyyy too lumpy. The beef ribs were toooo salty. There was hardly any meat on the bones and the meat was tough. I mean NO MEAT!! Normally I get the tri-tip. The last time i got the tri-tip, it to was toooo salty. The chicken was Great!
We went about 8:00 pm on Friday night. Restaurant was not busy at all. Someone asked the hostess what time the restaurant closed and she told them I 'm not sure, I don 't really know . I told her 10 pm and she said Oh About 20 minutes after we ordered our food, I had to stop the waitress and ask about our salad plates. She said they were at the salad bar. I did tell her that would have been nice to know this while we were waiting. When the food finally arrived, we were very disappointed. The Beef ribs were seriously overcooked. On the seafood platter, the calamari was also overcooked and was akin to chewing on a rubber band. The shrimp and cod were ok but the scallops were the absolute worst. When biting into the first one, water came rushing out and drenched my blouse. The same with the 2nd one. They were obviously pre breaded and frozen and not prepared properly. If you can 't cook it correctly, take it off your menu. Service was terrible. For it being so slow, should not have to wait 30 minutes to get your drink from the bar. Had to ask multiple times for to-go containers. Waitress never asked if everything was ok or if we need anything. Was not worth $120 for dinner
I was taken to the fruit yard for Mother's Day/My Birthday ON May 12 2024 by my Boyfriend and his entire family.. the service was amazing and the chef Tara Romano made all of our meals to perfection! I will definitely make sure that every holiday, birthday, family reunion we will go to the fruit yard! And also thank you to the fruit yard for the amazingly large Slice of Cheesecake for my birthday
Great food AS ALWAYS... great service AS ALWAYS... Great deal... THEN THERES....The clientele dress code issue ... It continues to be a serious issue.. I don't know if it's the proximity to Empire or Waterford or what but I am tired of seeing way too much dirty clothes on unclean people with bad ink, bellies out and hanging in the breeze, and toenail fungus on display WHERE IM TRYING TO EAT A $70 PER PERSON BREAKFAST... It's time to start enforcing a minimum dress code... It's one thing for hard working farmers to come in with some orchard or field on them.. another entirely for what's on display in such a pricey place..
