Outback Steakhouse West Nyack

Blossom Monday! This was my first visit here, although I've been to Outback in other locations. I was pleasantly surprised by this particular Outback, as they had an excellent chef who really knows how to prepare a steak! The bone-in ribeye took me by surprise...

I had very low expectations for this restaurant due to all the negative reviews, but we decided to give it a shot anyway since we were craving steak.

I stopped by for a quick dinner before heading to a show at Levity Live, which is just across the restaurant. The steak I ordered was decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. My drink order was completely overlooked.

To be honest, it was one of the worst meals my family and I have ever experienced. First, the bench where we were seated was broken when our food arrived. My dinner was ice cold, and my daughter found blue cheese in her salad even though she had specifically requested it without. My husband’s steak was tough like leather when he ordered it medium, and despite asking for it to be cooked properly, it was still not what he wanted. My son also found something hard in his meal that we suspected might be a piece of plastic from the packaging of the fries. To top it all off, the manager didn't even come to our table to address the issues. The entire meal dragged on for almost three hours! It was utterly ridiculous, and we will never go back. The only positive aspect of the evening was our waiter, who genuinely tried hard to make things right.

This is my new favorite restaurant. Food, service and experience were great. I and my teenagers really enjoyed themselves. I recommend this restaurant to everyone and know that you will not be disappointed.
