The Cinnamon Stick - West Oxfordshire

I had an amazing lunch at this restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We sat in the lovely outdoor lounge which had a beautiful setting.

We visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch and had a fantastic dining experience. The food was excellent, especially the chef's recommended meze and additional dishes we ordered. All of our main courses, including three chicken dishes and lamb chops, were delicious. The service was attentive and Khalid, our server, was very friendly. Chef Ali did a great job in the kitchen. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

We went as a family of 6, including one 6 year old and one 9 year old. We received a wonderfully warm welcome on arrival at what is a most unassuming pub. The restaurant was great offering a super atmosphere of the Middle East. The menu choice is varied and will suit all tastes. Our 9 year old is a celiac and extremely fussy! The staff went above and beyond to support him and to ensure he enjoyed himself, if I could give everyone at The Cinnamon Stick 10 stars I would!!! The food was simply superb plentiful, tasty and filling! I had the mixed grill which was excellent in every way, whilst my wife had the stuffed pastry. Starters too were superb!! I cannot praise this restaurant highly enough for the friendliness of the staff, their determination that the ‘guests’ should enjoy themselves and their willingness to engage with any needs, like my celiac grandson. We went as a family on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was buzzing with lots of people enjoying the fine food on offer. We had what we always have a selection of small dishes and some of the main courses and grills, accompanied by Lebanese flat bread and all washed down with delicious Lebanese wine. The whole experience was perfect friendly service, advice if needed and attention to detail. Everything is prepared in their kitchen nothing is bought in pre prepared. Amazing value for the amount of work that has gone into the dishes. Thank you Cinnamon Stick for another great evening!

I’m not quite sure how this place has got the positive reviews it has. Aside from the polite young waiter all we experienced was overpriced, poorly cooked presented Middle Eastern food. My chicken shawarma looked like it had never seen a griddle or flame….it was pale, grisly wet. The environment is grubby, make shift not very welcoming at all. There are a few good Middle Eastern restaurants within a 10 mile radius of this one….I’d suggest trying them instead.
