However, their food is what we came for and it was delicious. We ordered the brussel sprouts, fried calamari, the lobster mac and cheese, and chorizo meatballs. The brussel sprouts and excellent, the lobster mac and cheese is amazing (it 's a must), and the meatballs are delicious. The venue isbeautiful, it 's an atrium with lots of light and a chill vibe. We 're definitely coming back.
So I've stayed at the Canopy when it first opened in 2020. Although it was in the heart of the pandemic I would give it a 5 star. Today I visited Banter/Treehouse restaurant for the first time. I would have to say I was very disappointed in the service and food. The food looked amazing, but very bland. Drink was very watered down and not worth the price. They asked for a credit card before I ordered. I said I was paying cash, they still wanted one. Keep in mind I'm on aRooftop 13 stories up only way out is through the restaurant and in the elevators or jump to my death over the balcony. Not a great policy at all. Other guests got silverware and napkins and I was handed plastic utensils. I had to ask forsilverware. There was a bug in my food. I told the server he did not respond. Another guest told him and he came over and asked if I needed a box to go. I responded no and he then said sorry, but that was the down side of dinning outside. I asked for a manager to voice my complaints. He was very attentive and said he appreciated my input. As a manager I would have comp everything. I would like to give them another chance, but not sure that I will. Even if all went well thefood was still not good.
Amazing food, extremely slow service, and outright Robbery for valet parking . We had brunch at Banter and there is literally no parking. Pulled up to the valet who was completely disinterested and took several minutes to slowly walk over to the car. The valet told us to park the car on the street and didn 't even open our doors for us. The valet then charged us $20 to park which is the only parking option. Valet was not very friendly and didn 't offer any type of valetservice at all. Once we walked inside, the ambiance was actually really nice. Beautiful wide open ceilings, modern furniture, and bright lighting. The seats at each table were horrible and very uncomfortable. The service was extremelyslow but the waitress was polite. We waited about 45 minutes for our food despite the restaurant being at about 30% capacity. Now the good part, the food was genuinely incredible. Some of the best brunch food I 've ever had. The Frenchtoast was outrageously good. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was very tasty and crispy. All food items would be a 9.1/10 rating. Truly VERY good. The prices were a bit high, coming in at around $40/person with no alcohol. Overallthis place has amazing brunch food and a very beautiful ambiance, but horrible valet service, extremely slow food service, and high prices. It should be considered that the restaurant is at the bottom floor of the hotel so guests checkingin and out also may influence some of their service issues.
The piri piri heavy fish was fantastic! good wine selection. excellent service.
It is a nice restaurant, but eating was missing a lot to season and had not even salt. make people pay that much for such tasteless eating is annoying
