I hadn't had a meal since breakfast and while waiting for someone flights to arrive, I figured why not have a burger and fries. Bad idea! The burger was awful, it reminded me of the patties that come from a discount store from my childhood we would eat at summer BBQ. The fries were dry and seemed to be reheated in the deep fryer. The ginger ale tasted like a dirty dish towel, I think I had two sips and that was it. The service was POOR. I think after this experience, I will not eat at an airport restaurant if it can be avoided. Also all food lately at this spots you order and pay using a QR code, another thing I am not a fan of. Skip eating here, not worth it.
The southwest burger was okay but not worth more than 7 dollars. My girlfriend said the Caesar salad she's ever had in her life, and she eats a lot of salad. The service was good and the food came out fast and it's a cool place with a putting green but they close it around 5 or 6. If you're at the airport and you really need food this place will keep you alive on your flight.
To begin with it's one of those scan the app and order things which I'm not a fan of. My husband ordered a **** Mary and I got a glass of wine. The **** Mary' mix was so spicy we sent it back, the wine was awful we sent it back as well. We then ordered a burger and a beer. When the server brought the check the drinks we sent back were on the check. It took nearly 15 minutes and a bit of an attitude to get it corrected. Add to that, you had to eat in the airport commute n area which was freezing! People all around us were putting on coats.
After a long day, cancelled flight, and general drama... Morning breakfast empanadas are amazing. Ask for a little extra crema if you can. Staff were attentive and happy, friendly folk. Both PBI restaurants are owned by HMI (the other being pseudo-Irish pub, Rooney's). Tl;dr get the breakfast empanadas.
After Yelping Sam 's, I got real excited about the Salmon Cobb Salad. But they have changed their menu to the bare essentials. I asked if I could get my burger medium rare and the waitress said, I can put in the order, but there 's no guarantee...it may come out medium. So I settled with the Turkey BLT. The hostess who sat us never smiled or said welcome or screw off or anything. I commented to her, you having a bad day? And she said, yes, I 'm really tired . I mean who does that? Then our waitress never said hello, how are you?, smiled....nothing. Both were stone cold....A place like Adam Snead? I would 've expected a bit more.....especially when the beers are $7.00. And the sandwich was okay. Nothing to write home about....
