On a history trip...My dad use to bring me here in the 80's when driving through. We would stop here, then Neimicheks across the tracks.
If you haven't been here and tried the skunk eggs you are really missing out! if this place was within an hour of Dallas I'd visit at least once a month... it is so good! they have amazing burgers and pizza too, and all kinds of sweets and snacks later. if you go through west and don't stop, its a disservice to you.
Awesome baked goods! Probably too good, in that I eat too much because they're so good.
Absolutely phenomenal kolaches! The dough was perfectly soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness. Each filling was bursting with flavor, whether it was savory gooey cream cheese, or sweet fruit. Every bite was a delight. I can’t recommend these kolaches enough. Definitely a 5-star treat!
I love the sweets and wish I could give the pizza a higher rating. But I was there today and go the zombie pizza with everything and the waitress was awesome about making sure I didn’t have anchovies on it. She wrote in huge print no fish. As a younger person I was in the food industry and certain things can trigger you to rebel and maybe the big bold words of no fish made the cook put a ton of anchovies on the pizza and after one bite it was ruined for me. I tried taking them off off but the juices were cooked in and couldn’t finish one slice. I drove in from Dallas so there is no point and going back for a refund when it’ll cost more in gas to get there. But please make your cooks aware to pay attention a little if it truly wasn’t something done out of spite.
