No social distancing sat us right beside another table of six (after waiting to have table cleaned off) Ordered rib plate. Sorry, out of ribs ? Got our salads and still no silverware. Owner comes and apologizes bc food is taking so long. Says they are cooking the shrimp and potatoes that two of our party ordered. Okay, finally, shrimp plates come out but guess what? Not the other food ? shrimp was so spicy couldn’t hardly be eaten and potatoes still were not done. When rest of food comes out, 3 of the 6 plates had sides missing. 3 of 6! The waiter is getting the bill ready and asks, “Whose ticket does the appetizer go on?” Uhhhh, no one’s! We didn’t have an appetizer! It was almost comical how bad the service was almost ?
First off there is no 1883 Smokehouse at this address ! The there is no dine in either ! The rack of ribs we got were tough as could be and had what seemed like just salt and pepper for seasoning ! The sauce to put on them was a sweet type sauce that I like and was somewhat liken to Sweet Baby Ray’s . Not worth the $25 price fir s rack of ribs and we won’t be going back . It’s a Perrell Bbq place !
We had a party of 8 and one infant on Saturday night. I ordered beef tips, it was 5 pieces of meat and raw onions and peppers, less than 4 oz of steak. I ordered cream potatoes, they where cold and tasted like water. My daughter and daughter-in-law both ordered burgers well done, both were raw in the middle. We had to ask for a refill of tea. The salad bar and appetizers where the best of all. Our meal was 51.00 for two people. My husband had a fried shrimp plate. We did not have an appetizer on our bill. We never received a receipt. Never saw management, when I got home we messaged the fb page to let them know. They initially said they would refund us, then said no they couldn’t. My son finally got a refund to his card, we paid in cash so needless to say we did not get anything back. I will never go back. Horrible experience plus we drove an hour to eat there.
Where do I start??? our food was AWFUL. and I say that in the nicest way possible. not done at all. my hamburger was RED inside. my husband got INSTANT watered down mashed potatoes with his DRY steak. the shrimp tasted like they were just sitting in water. my kids chicken tenders were NOT done. they couldn't even eat their food. the waitress brought one glass of tea the whole time we were there. we paid $79.10 for BAD food and a $13 tip. when I messaged them to tell them they said they would refund our money and now today they tell me they can't knowing that is in fact a LIE. I am very ticked off. this place is NASTY. and we will NOT be going back. I don't recommend this place at all. we traveled over an hours time to come eat and it was a waste of our time and money.
My family and I eat at Starkville 1883 smokehouse a lot, and it never disappoints. Last night we went to West Point to 1883. I ordered the 1883 burger, and my husband and son ordered the philly steak. All were excellent. That burger was one of the best I have had and it was large. Might ought to cut it in half before eating it. 100% recommend all locations. We met the owner at Starkville location; he is super nice very friendly and very accommodating.
