Once apon a time, many moons ago, I once lived in this Borough. Was very happy with the neighborhood and found it to be a great place to start a family. Moving: still trying to figure out how I moved into this place and nothing got fixed that the borough was to inspect. Lord knows when I moved, they were in there telling me I had to fix the sidewalk and one or two minor things in the house-no biggie. Plus: about this area is the school district and that is about the only nice thing I can say. Should have stayed just for that. Now: I have received a Certified letter saying that I got a parking ticket from there. Okay, not a show stopper. Oh, wait, failed to say it was a freakin 98.10$ fine. Are you kidding me?!? Yes, I might of park in a yellow spot along with ever-other car on that block. I truly had no clue. And they don't leave a ticket on the car. No, no, no, they mail it to you a month later. Regular mail and one of certified. It starts off a 30$ ticket, but then you have fees. 68$ worth. See pic. My opinion is that they are doing anything they can to suck money out of people. A Borough of vampires. I paid this fine, knowing there is no way to win against it. I will however avoid this area like the Plague. So, if you go to this area- called West Reading. Keep in mind, watch where you park, or they will feed on your wallet too.
It was a nice change of pace with lots of vendors who are dedicated and very proud of their wares.
Freshest vegetables, mushrooms, flowers, and the best bread in the world: who could ask for more?
Friendly people, local businesses, great products
