Kingston's Clam - West Sayville

When I lived nearby, this was the go-to spot for a great meal on the water, or just a few cold ones after fishing or crabbing the local docs. On a recent visit, I was very pleased to see that the food quality and atmosphere were just as good as Iremember. Friendly wait staff. Great specialty drink menu and beer selection. At a time where many places are (understandably)giving less for more, it's great to see a local restaurant thrive and still offer great value. Looking forward to getting backthere again soon!

Waited over an hour for appetizers. The appetizers and entrees were terrible; no taste. The waitress never came to our table to check in; we had to ask several times for napkins, drinks, etc. I felt like we were forgotten about. It was a special birthdaylunch and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. There were yellow jackets everywhere and someone in our party gotstung. We opened our own umbrellas on our tables outside. What kind of staff makes the customer do that? Service was soexceptionally poor. I can?t believe it! I never give negative restaurant reviews but this definitely warrants one. I will nevergo back nor recommend it.

I have been here several times and spent a lot of money here. The food was very good, but for the price it is tough to eat out of plastic trays and use plastic utensils. I?m not asking for white glove service from a seafood dock restaurant. I just couldhave been happier. The views are hidden from a lack luster patio area with stockade fencing.

The lobster rolls here taste way better than and are considerably cheaper than what I ate recently at The Lobster Roll AKA Lunch (in Amagansett). The roll here at Kingston?s is also served with fries or cole slaw, but I asked for a side salad and got it atno extra charge. However, I waited about 20 minutes until my order came. Also, the service was relatively poor. The serverscame around infrequently. My glass of seltzer was never replenished. I also had to look for a server to get my check. On apositive note, Kingston?s is one of the few restaurants that actually sells steamers. Come early to secure parking on theadjacent lot. It gets filled quickly. Update: I came here on 7/17/21. Had the cold lobster roll (with little mayo, uponrequest) and squeezed some fresh lemon on it. It was outrageously delicious. The service was much better this time. That iswhy I am upgrading my previous review from four stars to five.
