On a Monday morning visit, the signs prohibiting dogs and smoking were blatantly ignored by both staff and patrons. One staff member even mentioned that the manager was present, or else the patrons could have brought their dogs in for breakfast. The poor management, environment, service, and lack of cleanliness were evident, with dirty tables and unprovided receipts. The staff were dismissive and the breakfast served was of poor quality, with split eggs and cold buns. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not recommended for a return visit. Despite limited options in Minehead, any other establishment would be a better choice than this one. Avoid spoiling your trip by visiting here.

We stopped by for a cup of tea during our team building day today, and it was just what we needed. The tea was amazing!

The bartender served me a pint that was not fizzy and tasted flat. Even though there were only a few bubbles at the bottom of the glass, he insisted it was not flat. I asked him to taste it himself, but he only offered to top it up without replacing it. The bartender was very arrogant.

We came here for lunch, hoping for better service than the last time! Yes, the service had vastly improved but, oh, the food was not very pleasant. We chose chargrilled chicken with chips. The chicken was full of tiny bones which we had to keep removing with our fingers (not good etiquette). The chips looked fine but very quickly became soggy. Coffee was OK. The rowdy element came in (as before). It must be their favourite place, I guess, but dear me, they are very noisy. Toilet still needs updating. But this is a Wetherspoons, so what could we expect! I have to add, though, that this building is magnificent and deserves better.

Arrived after a tough days cycling on exmoor looking for somewhere warm to stay with some good food on the go From the outside this place looks lovely. Staff were great and couldn’t do enough for us. Room was fab for the money and I got a great meal on a budget which hit the spot I’ll defo be back and recommend a stay here. It’s not the ritz, but it’s cheap, cheerful, cosy, friendly and with good rooms
