If you don't absolutely love their thin crust pizza with a Caesar salad and a nice glass of red wine let them know. In store deli and gelato choices galore. South facing on Marine Drive just west of the by the W. Van Community Centre it truly is one of the sunniest and best outdoor coffee bar seating areas on the north shore minutes from the fabulous West Van Seawall, with really comfy outdoor seating. .

Café Il Mercado is a wonderful community coffee house and restaurant which has terrific take-away Italian deli items and meals. We love tha tit has good hours of operation so we can pop in for morning coffee and breakfast sandwiches, or meet up with families after a sports game for gelato or paninis, or pop down there with the family for an authentic pizza supper. Well worth checking out.

This is a bistro-ish deli run by the Mangia e Bevi restaurant across the street. It's in the base of the Westerleigh, an independent living building that looks like a cruise ship. Good soups.

We have been to this café on two occasions. Pizza and wine excellent on both occasions. On the first occasion the service was excellent however not the case the second time. . We were served the salad and the Pizza was not delivered until a half hour later. We were told by our server a big take out order just came in before our order. By the time our Pizza arrived we tried the Salad which we had enjoyed previously however there seemed to be some missing ingredients rendering it tasteless in addition to being a little soggy with the excessive wait. Since we had made the effort to dine in the restaurant I think there should be some priority given to our service as opposed to the take out service.

This is a great locals place and hangout. The atmosphere is great, the service fantastic and the food outstanding, especially the pizzas. Casual and easy to stop in for a comfortable coffee, snack or meal.
