Red Lotus Chinese - West Yellowstone

The restaurant was very busy, but the service was excellent. We ordered a variety of Tofu dishes (I requested them without ice, so I'm not sure what they originally came with). My non-vegan father was pleased with the vegan options. This review has been updated as of September 21, 2021.

A must-visit for vegan and vegetarian diners, this restaurant offers a wide range of options. I've been twice and tried many of my favorite Asian dishes, including tofu seaweed soup, spicy garlic eggplant, Indian curry noodles, and sweet coconut curry sauce. The tofu in bean sauce was particularly delicious. While it is a bit pricey (we paid $50 for a meal for two people), the quality of the food makes it worth it.

I found the vegetarian options at this restaurant to be quite delicious. My companion and I were very hungry after spending a whole day in Yellowstone, so that may have influenced our enjoyment and led us to give it 3 stars. I ultimately decided to give it 4 stars because the desserts were fresh and the spices were well-balanced. We ordered the flavorful curry vegetables with white rice, crispy egg rolls (although a bit greasy and undercooked), and vegetable chow mein. I believe the dishes were vegetarian rather than vegan, as they may have contained eggs, but we didn't inquire. The service was extremely quick (our meals arrived within 5 minutes) and friendly, despite the restaurant being quite full during the slower season. Considering the limited dining options in the city and the prevalence of meat-heavy menus, I felt like we made a good choice by eating here.

There is a vegetarian option, with a really good tofu dish. that was a bit salty, but I cost it.

This is the only place in West Yellowstone they offered tofu on the menu. Staff were really friendly and even though the place was busy, the food was quick. Vegan friendly with a section for “vegetarians”.
